Our family estate is the ideal base for combining a visit to the Ardèche Gorges with the Cèze Valley.

Choosing accommodation in Saint-Marcel-d’Ardèche offers a dual tourist experience. Founded in 1966 and run by Valérie and Stéphane Soulier, our estate, set amongst holm oaks, offers a respite from the busy traffic routes of the Cèze Valley during the high season.
From here, the horizon opens out onto the landscapes of the Rhône Valley and the Drôme Provençale. On a clear day, the view stretches from Mont Ventoux to Mont Blanc. This secluded location guarantees true tranquillity at night, as nearby accommodation options around La Roque-sur-Cèze are often constrained by the terrain or their proximity to major roads.

The pitches measure over 100 m² and include electrical hook-ups, drinking water points and a free waste disposal point for motorhomes and campervans, which is easily accessible.
The campsite’s rental accommodation is designed to cope with the region’s climate, where summer temperatures are high.
The layout of the site has preserved large, tree-lined areas for tents, caravans and semi-integrated motorhomes.
The uniform size of the pitches ensures privacy for every guest. For the vanlife community and motorhome drivers, the ground has been levelled to make manoeuvring easier. Technical facilities (gray and black water disposal points) are available free of charge and maintained daily.
Facilities at Camping Les Truffières include an outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace, a mini-golf course, a pétanque court, table tennis, a trampoline and a street football pitch. Dining options include the semi-gourmet restaurant L’Oustaou, the beer bar The Pub and a bread collection point for breakfast. The communal toilet blocks feature a heated pavilion.
The campsite’s swimming pool is the focal point of the site’s leisure activities. It has sun loungers for relaxation. In terms of sunshine, the pool enjoys full exposure in July and August, whilst in September, the onset of autumn creates natural shade earlier in the late afternoon.
Leisure facilities are available for guests to use independently:
The catering options are supported by well-established facilities:
La Roque-sur-Cèze is a medieval village in the Gard region, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, notable for its cobbled streets and its twelve-arched bridge. Close by are the Sautadet Waterfalls, a geological site shaped by the River Cèze. Swimming is prohibited in the rocky gorges due to the danger, but is permitted further downstream.
A 30-minute drive from the campsite, La Roque-sur-Cèze perches on its rocky outcrop. Access to the historic centre is for pedestrians only. Visitors cross the old medieval bridge to make their way up to the cobbled streets.
The village is characterised by restored stone houses, the remains of fortifications and a Romanesque church. At the top, the ruins of the feudal castle (closed to the public) overlook the plain. The local market offers the chance to discover produce from the winegrowers and olive growers of the Cèze Valley.
This natural site is characterised by ‘giants’ kettles’ – cylindrical hollows carved into the limestone by the force of the Cèze’s current.
The site features specific rock formations which require strict safety rules to be followed:
The campsite is 28 kilometres from La Roque-sur-Cèze, a 35-minute drive.
To visit the Sautadet waterfalls and the village of La Roque-sur-Cèze in the best possible conditions, we recommend going early in the morning (before 10 am) or after 5 pm. During May, June and September, visitor numbers drop significantly, making it easier to get around the village and park without a wait in the car parks on the outskirts of the site.
Les Truffières campsite, situated 28 kilometres from the village, is open all year round.
