Camping in the South of France, amidst the garrigue and limestone cliffs, requires the right equipment. Here are our local tips for a holiday without any nasty surprises:
A word from Stéphane (Manager):
"Our natural Ardèche terrain is rocky. To pitch your tent properly, forget about plastic or lightweight aluminium pegs. Bring hard steel pegs (nail-type) and a good mallet. You’ll thank us when it comes to setting up!"
- Sleeping equipment: Choose a well-ventilated tent to enjoy the starry nights, and bring an insulated mattress for extra comfort on our natural ground.
- Climate: Days are warm, but nights can be cool near the Nature Reserve. Please bring clothing suitable for changing temperatures.
- Environment: To protect our ecosystem, please use biodegradable toiletries and follow the waste sorting system in place on the estate.
- Hiking essentials: Sturdy walking boots with good grip for exploring the GR trails, and binoculars for spotting Bonelli’s eagles nesting in the canyon.

Our tent pitches are the ideal starting point for exploring an unspoilt area. You can choose from a variety of settings to pitch your tent:
- "Panorama" pitches: Wake up to unobstructed views of the Rhône Valley, the Alps and Mont Ventoux.
- "Pleine Nature" pitches: Set up camp opposite the Gorges de l’Ardèche National Nature Reserve for absolute tranquillity, whilst enjoying free Wi-Fi on your pitch.

Just passing through for the weekend to meet up with my parents and children. Unfortunately, both of my children fell very ill, but the attentiveness, empathy and kindness of the owners and their team allowed us to have a good weekend regardless. Without any judgment or pretension, the owner called several numbers so that my children could see a doctor.
Beyond their sense of family, this is a simple campsite close to people, with facilities that make you want to do anything but leave! The staff are incredibly attentive and the premises are extremely clean!

Well-shaded, peaceful, a large pitch for the motorhome and motorbike trailer, a beautiful and relaxing panoramic view, and clean, well-stocked toilet blocks. The owners are really friendly and extremely helpful, always listening and giving excellent advice! We will gladly return to see them, and will bring some friends along next time.
Holiday ❘ CoupleGreat family campsite. We stopped over for several nights during our cycle touring trip (ViaRhona). The pitches are large, and the toilets and showers are tip-top. The campsite managers are friendly, available and kind. The swimming pool is lovely, though it gets shaded quickly in September.
Don't hesitate to come and rest in the peace and quiet of this campsite. Just a heads up if you are arriving by bike: there is a steep climb to get here.

What types of tent pitches are available near Vallon-Pont-d'Arc?

What amperages are available for electricity?
We offer 4, 6 or 10 amps (from 920 W to 2300 W). Please remember to bring an extension lead and a power strip.

Are barbecues allowed on the pitches?
No, campfires and wood-fired barbecues are strictly prohibited throughout the Ardèche department during the summer. We only allow gas barbecues.
How far is Vallon-Pont-d'Arc?
The campsite is located about 30 minutes (25 km) by car from Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, allowing you to enjoy tourist activities whilst sleeping peacefully, away from the hustle and bustle.
What are the cancellation terms?
Any cancellation or refund request is handled exclusively through the "Campez Couvert" insurance, which we strongly recommend you take out when booking online.
