Need a breather? At Les Truffières, our children’s area, covering over 100 m², is strategically located opposite the restaurant terrace. Enjoy your coffee whilst keeping an eye on your children. Unlike large, concrete-filled holiday parks, Valérie and Stéphane have focused on free, nature-based activities:
Motor Skills & Early Learning (1–4 years): Baby walkers and other toys available for free use, and a mini educational farm.
Action & Sliding (Ages 5 and up): Play structure, giant trampoline with net, and sky-line.
Family Challenges: 12-hole mini-golf, table tennis, pétanque and a shaded street football cage.
All equipment (clubs, balls) is available to borrow free of charge at reception.
Water Park: Family pool and paddling pool in the Ardèche
Swimming is the essential activity of your holiday. Camping Les Truffières features a main pool measuring 17x7 metres with a depth of 1.30 metres, ideal for swimming and having fun. Toddlers can enjoy a secure floating paddling pool, allowing them to get used to the water gently – simply ask at reception. In the evening, lighting transforms the space for a visual treat.

Camping Les Truffières offers a safe holiday environment for your children. Situated on the edge of the Gorges de l’Ardèche Nature Reserve, our site is naturally sheltered from outside dangers: the main road is over 400 metres from the heart of the campsite. You can therefore relax whilst your children play freely.
To ensure this peace of mind for parents, our facilities include several safety features:
Enclosed aquatic area: The swimming pool and paddling pool are situated within a perimeter fully enclosed by standard-compliant barriers. It is physically impossible for a child to access the pools unaided.
Away from road traffic: The absence of roads in the immediate vicinity eliminates the risks associated with unexpected traffic, offering a true natural haven of peace.
Restricted internal traffic: Within the estate, car access is strictly regulated and limited, giving absolute priority to pedestrians, scooters and children’s bicycles.
Explore the treasures of the Southern Ardèche from Saint-Marcel
Located in Saint-Marcel-d’Ardèche, the campsite is 10 minutes from the Grotte de Saint-Marcel and 25 minutes from the Grotte Chauvet 2. Its strategic location means you can reach Vallon-Pont-d’Arc in 30 minutes. The site offers quick access to listed villages such as Aiguèze (8 km) and major natural sites such as the Aven d’Orgnac or the Gorges de l’Ardèche nature reserve.
The South Ardèche and its immediate surroundings are brimming with medieval towns. Within 20 km, visit Saint-Montan (4 km) or Montclus (17 km). For day trips, the villages of Antraigues-sur-Volane and Vogüé are unmissable. Pro tip: Bring a baby carrier for the cobbled streets of Saint-Montan.

What is the ideal age to enjoy the campsite’s playground?
The playground is suitable for children of all ages, from 1 year old right up to teenagers. It features motor skills areas for toddlers (1 to 3 years old), climbing frames for children aged 5 and over, and sports facilities (table tennis, street football) for older children.
Is there an extra charge for children’s activities (mini-golf, table tennis, etc.)?
No, all on-site children’s activities are 100% free and included in your stay. Access to the playground, the 12-hole mini-golf course, the giant trampoline and the mini-farm is free of charge for our guests.
Do you lend out baby equipment?
Yes, we provide complete baby kits (travel cot, high chair, baby bath) upon request. This allows you to travel light. Furthermore, our communal toilet facilities have a dedicated baby area with a light therapy bath.
Is the campsite far from natural water sources?
No, the campsite is just 4 kilometres from the Ardèche Gorges and the river. This proximity means you can easily reach the natural beaches for family swimming or canoe trips.

Just passing through for the weekend to meet up with my parents and children. Unfortunately, both of my children fell very ill, but the attentiveness, empathy and kindness of the owners and their team allowed us to have a good weekend regardless. Without any judgment or pretension, the owner called several numbers so that my children could see a doctor.
Beyond their sense of family, this is a simple campsite close to people, with facilities that make you want to do anything but leave! The staff are incredibly attentive and the premises are extremely clean!

We highly recommend this establishment, an absolute joy!! Well-shaded, peaceful, a large pitch for the motorhome and motorbike trailer, a beautiful and relaxing panoramic view, and clean, well-stocked toilet blocks. The owners are really friendly and extremely helpful, always listening and giving excellent advice! We will gladly return to see them, and will bring some friends along next time.

Great family campsite. We stopped over for several nights during our cycle touring trip (ViaRhona). The pitches are large, and the toilets and showers are tip-top. The campsite managers are friendly, available and kind. The swimming pool is lovely, though it gets shaded quickly in September.
Don't hesitate to come and rest in the peace and quiet of this campsite. Just a heads up if you are arriving by bike: there is a steep climb to get here.
