To preserve the essence of original camping, we favour large natural spaces over dense infrastructure. At Camping Les Truffières, more than 75% of our 5-hectare estate is strictly dedicated to traditional camping for travellers in tents, campervans, caravans, or motorhomes.

Our pitches, all over 100 m², are cleverly arranged on small terraces of 1 to 10 places. The deliberate absence of hedges fosters friendliness, communion with nature, and preserves a spectacular view of the Rhône Valley vineyards, the Alps, and Mont Ventoux.

The choice of the preserved plateau: quietness, coolness, and year-round opening. Unlike campsites located directly on the riverbank — often exposed to mosquitoes, humidity, and flooding risks —, our position on the plateau guarantees fresh, airy nights. It is this flood-free elevation that allows the campsite to remain open 365 days a year.

Ideally located on this Ardèche viewpoint, the campsite is a rare strategic crossroads: 1 hour 20 mins from the Mediterranean beaches and 1 hour 20 mins from the mountain peaks, whilst remaining at the immediate gateway to the Gorges and prehistoric caves.

Nestled on the preserved plateau of Saint-Marcel-d’Ardèche, the Les Truffières estate overlooks the Rhône valley and opens onto a striking panorama. Thanks to this natural altitude, the campsite enjoys a constant welcome breeze during the summer heat.

Saint-Marcel Cave (6 km), Madeleine Cave (13 km), Aven d'Orgnac (21 km), the prestigious Chauvet 2 Cave (25 km), and the Aven Grotte Forestière (28.5 km).

Camping Les Truffières offers a 17 x 7 metre outdoor pool (constant depth of 1.30m) naturally heated by the sun, without the use of energy-intensive heat pumps. The beach area is entirely secured by a stone wall and protective fencing, lined with sun loungers and parasols.

Extended swimming and evening light shows

Unlike restrictive rules that close their gates at 6:30 PM, we extend pool access into the evening. After your day of exploring or canoeing, enjoy a relaxing swim. In high season, experience a night swim with an underwater light show!

Canoeing or kayaking down the Ardèche Gorges nature reserve is accessible directly from the estate, located just 4 km from the river (see the dedicated page). To avoid the saturated car parks in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, the campsite offers a turnkey logistical solution:
