The Old Village

Lulled by the lapping of the river Beaume which flows at its feet, the village of Labeaume is surrounded by impressive limestone cliffs, hollowed out by caves. The village of Labeaume was shaped by water: that of the river Beaume which dug troglodyte shelters in the rock, as well as the rain used to water its famous "hanging gardens".
