2kg of chestnuts
1kg of sugar per kg of cooked puree
1 vanilla pod
1 bay leaf
1 glass of water per kg of sugar
Split the chestnuts and boil them for 5 minutes in a pan of water.
Put them in a jam pan with the bay leaf, cover with water and cook them until they crumble easily.
Put the chestnuts through a mill with a fine mesh.
Weigh the purée.
Make a syrup with the sugar, corresponding to the weight of the chestnut puree, and the water.
Mix everything together and cook in the jam pan for about 15 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon.
Put the jam in a jar, cover.
A variation: you can add 100g of dark chocolate for 10kg of chestnut puree.
Every day from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 6pm.

The history of our campsite.
Les Truffières campsite has a rich history, having been created in 1961. It is managed by Valérie and Stéphane Soulier and offers quality outdoor accommodation, including mobile homes, camper van sites and caravan and tent sites, all year round. The campsite also offers a bar, a gourmet restaurant and heated sanitary facilities for added comfort. It is listed in the Ardèche Découverte tourist guide.
