1kg of chestnuts
1liter of milk
Peel the chestnuts.
Then remove the skin after boiling them in a pot of water.
In a pot, boil the milk, add the chestnuts, the chopped onion, salt, pepper and let cook for 45 minutes over low heat, until the chestnuts dry easily.
Mix if necessary and serve hot.
This recipe can also be made using a diced apple instead of the onion.
In the past, chestnuts were preserved by the people of Ardèche, and cousina could be prepared all year round with dried chestnuts, only the cooking time was longer.

The history of our campsite.
Les Truffières campsite has a rich history, having been created in 1961. It is managed by Valérie and Stéphane Soulier and offers quality outdoor accommodation, including mobile homes, camper van sites and caravan and tent sites, all year round. The campsite also offers a bar, a gourmet restaurant and heated sanitary facilities for added comfort. It is listed in the Ardèche Découverte tourist guide.
