Our snails are bred and raised in Saint-Remeze, not far from the Gorges de l'Ardèche.
They are fed in open-air pens, sown with clover and forage radish. They feed exclusively on this vegetable support as well as on crushed cereals with added calcium for the formation of the shell.
Valérie & Cyrille tell you about the life of their snails from birth to adulthood.

During the visit you will be able to discover our snail farm :
Outdoor parks :
Description of the parks, structures, seeds, food, quantity of snails per park, growth process...
Breeding room:
Visit of the breeding room, description of the breeding room, explanation of the snail's reproduction cycle, method of recovery of the eggs, hatching, observation of snail eggs, spat (baby snails).
Presentation of the snail:
How to recognize the most common snails (snails of burgundy, gray, large gray, Turkish, purchaseines ...). Explanation of the term jeuné, dégorgé and what to do and not to do. Precautions to take for the wild collection for the private individuals.
Presentation of the products from the farm:
Presentation of the different recipes from our production and the different ways of eating snails.
The visit lasts about an hour with the snail farmers, Valerie & Cyrille. During the whole visit we remain at your disposal to answer your questions.
